What is GITMA?
The Global Information Technology Management Association (GITMA) is an organization that provides unique opportunities for researchers and IT professionals worldwide to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas.
Since its inception 25 years ago, GITMA has hosted conferences across America, Europe, and Asia, addressing a wide range of topics relevant to the rapidly evolving global technology industry. These topics include AI, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Blockchain, Digital Transformation, and other cutting-edge areas. Each year, the annual conference brings together representatives from more than 63 universities across 15 countries on three continents.

GITMA was created by Dr. Prashant Palvia.
Dr. Prashant Palvia founded the Global Information Technology Management Association (GITMA) to create a platform where scholars and industry professionals alike could exchange ideas on information technology management.

The GITMA Conference solidified as an NGO.

The GITMA 2025 - Sakarya, Turkey
The GITMA 2025 conference in Sakarya, Turkey, addressed strategic topics such as generative AI, cybersecurity, quantum technologies, data management, and digital business, highlighting their relevance for innovation, industrial transformation, and global technological development.
GITMA 2020 - Paris, France (Virtual).
The GITMA 2020 Conference, hosted virtually from Paris, France, explored remote work technologies, AI-driven solutions, and global IT resilience. It emphasized the role of technology in adapting to global challenges, fostering innovation, and sustaining international collaboration in a virtual era.
GITMA 2018 - Mexico City, Mexico.
The GITMA 2018 Conference in Mexico City highlighted digital transformation in emerging markets, focusing on fintech, blockchain, and smart city innovations. It facilitated global networking and showcased strategies for leveraging technology to drive economic and social development.

Meet GITMAs 2026 Chairs
Gustavo Parés
Internationally recognized technology expert and global educator, and the founding partner and CEO of NDS Cognitive Labs. With extensive experience in digital transformation, cloud computing, and conversational AI, he has led numerous innovative projects, helping organizations navigate the complexities of modern technology. Beyond his role as an advisor to leading businesses, he is also deeply committed to education, teaching, and mentoring students across North and South America, Europe, South Korea, and India. His work bridges the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical application, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing on a global scale.
Dr. Hajer KEFI
Dr. Hajer KEFI is full professor of Management Information Systems in EMLV Devinci Higher Education and University Paris Saclay. She is the head of the department of Management, Strategy & Innovation at EMLV. Her research interests include digital transformation in organizations such as museums, AI acceptance, resistance and ambivalence-related mechanisms, ethics and human technology interactions. Her work has appeared in two books and several book chapters, and numerous research articles in scientific journals such as the Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Information and Management, Journal of Business Research, Information Technology & People and International Journal of Information Management.
M.Sc. Luis Ricardo Salgado Garza
Professor Luis Ricardo Salgado Garza is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at Tecnológico de Monterrey; throughout his 33-year career at the institution, he has held positions such as Academic Program Director for the Digital Systems and Robotics Engineering B.S. and Regional Director of the Computer Science Department.
He holds a Master of Science degree with a specialization in control (manipulator robot control), as well as partial doctoral studies in Artificial Intelligence and in Education. His areas of specialization focus on automatic speech recognition, the Internet of Things, parallel computing architectures, neuromorphic computing, and the application of these technologies in higher education.

Dr. Zoe Huang
Dr. Zoe Huang is an Associate Professor at The College of New Jersey. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her research focuses on social media
analytics, information privacy, and text mining. Dr. Huang’s work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Behaviour & Information Technology, International Journal of Production Economics, and the Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research, among others. She has also actively contributed to major information systems conferences such as ICIS, PACIS, and AMCIS.
